3013 RENEGADE 3013 The Series Book 2 eBook Susan Hayes

What I really liked: The sass. I loved the sass. Nikola and Colin aren't quite as clever as Alayna, but they still get some great sass matches going. I also liked the action. I'm often disinterested in high action/fight scenes, but these were exciting. When Alayna teams up with the two generals, her talents are able to truly shine even further than they have in the past. She has unlimited talent, and now seemingly unlimited resources. It's a delight to watch her take over everything and show those two meatheads how to really get things done :)

However...
So in this society, two men, once they've "earned" the right, are allowed to claim one of the few females capable of reproducing. And the woman is not allowed to turn them down. Alayna recognizes the horror and injustice of this, and has lived her life working with the resistance against this world-wide government. However, once she realizes that Nikola and Colin view her as an equal partner, she almost comes to excuse the practice. She still doesn't like it, but she really loses a lot of outrage towards this system. I do love that she and her mates decide to team up and continue to help the people she's been helping all along, but this time through legitimate means. The three of them together could form a healthy society between the "elites" and the "renegades" in that area. It still makes me a bit uneasy that the injustice of this system is almost shrugged off, as though to say, "oh, it's only most of the Alliance who is corrupt, but a few are decent, so yay for the Alliance!" They may be able to do good on a local level, but I'd like to see them continue to work towards eradicating all the injustices of this system (you know, like all ladies having complete freedom of choice and agency?) I'd be interested in continuing the series to see if these things are glossed over as they seemed to be in this volume, or if there is more voice against it.

3013 RENEGADE 3013 The Series Book 2 eBook Susan Hayes Reviews

I thought it was a great book. I really do not understand the ,reviewer's comments with the low ratings. Sometimes I think they miss the point. First this is an erotic type book it is more about sex. Plus it is a short book so not going to be an in-depth story. Second I totally disagree with the people that call her a doormat. First she's been trailing these guys and having hot dreams about them for a week. Then they catch her. She knows if they do what they are supposed to she is going to jail or worse. So she decides to have sex with them and hopes they drop their guard so she can take off. She falls asleep and they find out she is a scroll so they claim her. They have to hold her down to put the tattoo on her face as she woke up and doesn't want to be claimed. They give her space when she asks, and try to prove to her that she is more than a sex toy and they respect her. They even like her work at overhauling the security systems. She felt love that she never had before in her life. Which was another reason for her to wait and see if she should stay. Just because men want to protect you and keep you safe does not mean they see you as a doormat, or that you have lost your independence. Even if they are a little dominate. In fact they appreciated her strength, independence, and sass. This is a story were there are few women who can breed so the men in this book believe women should be protected and cherished. I liked both Colin and Nik, as well as Alayna. I liked that she didn't hold the bonding against the guys. She dealt with it without being mean and nasty all the time, which maybe the other reviewers would have liked better.

Anyway depending on what type book you are looking for I would recommend it.

Sex content is very high.

About the series. There are 2 books by Laurie Roma and two books by Susan Hayes. You do not really need to read any of the books before you read one. However Laurie Roma's two books go together and Susan Hayes' two books go together. Basically You meet at least one of the characters in their first book who is a main character in the second book.

True Book Order
1. Mated (2014) - Laurie Roma
2. Renegade (2014) - Susan Hayes
3. Claimed (2014) - Laurie Roma
4. Stowaway (2014) - Susan Hayes

But may want to read as
1. Mated (2014) - Laurie Roma
2. Claimed (2014) - Laurie Roma

1.Renegade (2014) - Susan Hayes
2 Stowaway (2014) - Susan Hayes
Colin and Nic are the two generals of the badlands fort who are desperately looking for their chosen mate.. Fort sits on the edge of the badlands and has been the focus of Wraith who is stealing them blind. Their orders are to do whatever it takes to stop this thief and restore order. The only problem is that may not be exactly correct. When Alayna, the notorious Wraith, breaks into their home looking for information to fuel her and the other leads next raids all bets are off.

Caught by Grizz and Ghost red handed, Alayna is in deep trouble when they also discover she is a sassy, feisty, hot little number and they want to have a bit more than a chat and Alayna's hormones pick that exact same time to kick into high gear. Too bad of her that they discover she is a fertile scroll and she is also the one they want to share their life with.

It is a wonderful fun, and very hot run for the end zone on this one. Oh, an it doesn't hurt that Grizzi's parents a bit of a bunch of snobs who showup at the worst possible time to check out his chosen/

I think you will love this one I certainly did
I really love sci-fi romances and the more alpha males involved the better. So this story had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, what is described to the reader regarding the main heroine does not jive with her actions. For example, the heroine who is depicted as independent and not interested in establishing a relationship with anyone after meeting the two main heroes falls instantly into bed with them. Now I love smexy erotica but I like it with more meat to the story other than a series of scenarios as set up for sex. Plus, there's very little world building and the story proceeds so quickly without enough elaboration that I felt as if it just sped by and left me wondering, "wait, what was this story about?" At the end. This book was okay, more of a "meh" book.
